Used + Reconditioned Commercial Coffee Machines

Used Coffee Machines, Reconditioned Espresso Machines and Bean to Cup Machines. Are they a good idea? Maybe! is the answer. It is always best to buy a new coffee machine, grinder etc. It will not have suffered any "Wear and Tear" and misuse by the owner. You can rest assured it's going to be reliable from day one. However, "Needs Must" and if you need a good coffee machine but the budget cannot stretch to buying new, then a used coffee machine may be the answer. However, make sure you buy a used coffee machine from a good source. We can provide refurbished, fully serviced Commercial Coffee Machines, Espresso Coffee Machines and Bean to Cup Coffee Machines. Buying a second-hand coffee machine from unreliable sources can be fraught with dangers. It may look nice and shiny on the outside but it’s the inside that can hide hidden horror stories. Buying from auction sites can in the long run prove very expensive. Added repair costs can make it a more expensive option than buying a new coffee machine. All commercial coffee machines have to be taken care of on a daily basis. Espresso machines need to be “backflushed” regularly, ideally once a day. Certain parts should be cleaned with specialist cleaning tools and brushes. Coffee Machines are very susceptible to lime scale build up. Many parts of the country have “hard water” that contains levels of calcium that will destroy a coffee machine very quickly. The remedy to this problem is to use a Water Filter. (Calcium Treatment Unit, CTU). These come in various volume sizes to suit usage. However, these need to be changed regularly. This is usually every 6 mths to a 1Yr. Machines should also be professionally serviced as required. This is where the problems occur. Many previous owners of machines are not as diligent as they should be with the correct maintenance. The result being the machine can be too expensive to repair and can be a complete “write off”.

If you have to buy a second hand coffee machine, ensure that it is from a reliable source. Ideally you should look for machines that have been fully reconditioned with new parts and professionally de-scaled.

We can provide fully reconditioned Commercial Espresso Machines and Bean to Cup Machines. Work is carried out by a very experienced engineer. Many parts are replaced and the machine de-scaled as required. In addition, the refurbished machine is fully serviced. Once again, see the Service and Repair section for details of work carried out in Servicing.

The range of machines that are available varies depending upon acquisition by our engineers and the cost effectiveness of reconditioning the machine.
