Commercial bean to cup machines are becoming more and more popular. Most of the higher volume bean to cup machines have two separate boilers one for producing steam and the other for hot water. Most of these systems can produce two milk drinks at time. Bean to Cup machines are manufactured to different volume categories. Machines have to be matched to daily cups/day requirements/estimates, drink size and how quickly they will be needed. All Manufacturers’ cups/day specifications are based upon an 8oz serving with numbers spread evenly throughout the day. Typically low volume bean to cup can produce up to 70 coffees per day. Medium volume machines range between 100 and 150 a day. Medium to High volume would be 150 – 200 a day. High volume would be 200 – 500 cups per day. Manufacturers producing a range of bean to cup machines in these volume ranges are Jura coffee machines - Franke coffee machines - WMF coffee machines and La Cimbali coffee machines

Other brands of Bean to Cup machines are Black and White, manufactured in Switzerland. They have been around for a long time. We can provide limited range of second-hand, used and refurbished models. These machines have separate milk warmers providing hot milk for both cappuccinos and lattes. Macco Mega and Macco Micra commercial coffee machines are excellent high volume bean to cup machines. Melittas’ Bar Cube system has a range of sturdy bean to cup machines.

Commercial espresso machines have one, two, three or four group heads, one or two steam wands, hot water facilities and a cup warming areas. Choices of semi or fully automatic group heads are usually available however automatic group heads are the most popular. These automatic group heads allow the water doses to be pre-set providing a more constant product. Each group head can produce one or two espresso coffees at a time.  Water boiler capacities vary and must be taken into consideration when selecting the right espresso machine. If high volumes of coffee or hot water are required then a high volume espresso machine with a large capacity water boiler will be required. The standard range of commercial espresso machines to satisfy most needs will have a total power requirement in excess of 3.4 Kw and will require the right power supply. Most espresso machines will need a minimum 20 amp power supply for a 2 Group machine. This allows the water boilers to recover quickly after water or steam has been drawn off.

Other commercial coffee machines capable of providing high volumes of coffee include cappuccino coffee systems. These systems use soluble products, freeze dried coffee, powdered milk sometimes referred to as cappuccino topping. Many of these machines also have a Chocolate option. They are capable of producing a wide range of individual drinks at the touch of a button. They are basically a mixing system which means a range of drinks can be dispensed quickly and provide high volumes of coffee per hour. Some systems have up to five product canisters and are capable of dispensing up to 480 cups per hour. There are also machines that are a combination of fresh coffee beans along side soluble products. However, these systems take longer to produce coffee based drinks.
